The tournament was organised by Bernd Herger who was supported by Dynamo Donau in Vienna the host city. Others involved in the preparation were Declan crean from rome, marc palmer from ghent, and Kevin Teeroovengadum from London. Martina Malyar ,the Mayor of the 9th district of Vienna where the tournament was hosted also kindly lent her support to the tournament and handed out the cups at the end. Another partner was Hernals Sport who donated the cups for the winners and runners up. The first europub-league tournament was played on 1st May at the USI Spitalgasse in josefstadt.
